JOB SUMMARY
Kemps is hiring machine operators to run and support production equipment. In this role, you will set up, operate, clean, and maintain machines, while helping troubleshoot basic issues to keep production moving.
Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up and sanitizing equipment, operating filling and packaging lines, and cleaning equipment and work areas. You will also help restock supplies, complete basic production records, and support the team by covering breaks or absences as needed.
This role involves working with both raw and finished products in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be expected to follow food safety standards (GMPs), communicate with team members across departments, and help meet daily production goals.
PAY:
- Starting at $29.43/hour
- Increases to $31.43/hours after 12 months
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 11:00PM - 7:00AM (8-hour shifts)
JOB DUTIES:
Operate production and packaging equipment, including cottage cheese filling lines. Clean and sanitize all equipment, including pumps, motors, blending equipment, and work areas (floors and walls). Keep the production line stocked with supplies such as cups and lids, and complete basic records and reports.
When the cottage cheese line is not running, support other packaging equipment as needed. Assist with general production tasks and other duties as assigned to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications:

Basic math skills
- Able to pass pre-employment screenings (drug, background)
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and being on your feet
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working in a wet or food production setting
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed
- Active, physical work (standing, walking, bending)
- Food production environment with cleaning and sanitation duties
- Exposure to moisture, cleaning products, and production equipment
