Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of ice cream products, ensuring high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Operate our Clover POS system for smooth transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Engage with customers enthusiastically, patiently, and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of the truck’s prep areas, utensils, and serving stations in accordance with health regulations.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely stops while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Assist with handling and creating the ice cream and snow ball products, cleaning as you go, and replenishing supplies to keep the truck fully operational throughout shifts.
- Fully restock and thoroughly clean truck at the end of the shift, including mopping the floor and occasionally cleaning windows.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service roles such as quick service restaurants or soft serve ice cream shops is highly desirable, but there is training available.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to enter orders quickly and create a friendly atmosphere.
- Basic math skills for cash handling are essential.
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to lift moderately heavy items.
- If you are comfortable driving a large step van (no additional license needed for them), your hours would increase significantly.
- Labor laws require you to be at least 18 years old.
