Overview
The Pro Shop Attendant is the friendly face and first point of contact of the golf course, delivering exceptional customer service to golfers and visitors while driving retail sales in the pro shop. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring smooth operations, and enhancing the overall member and guest experience. The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, and passionate about golf and retail service.
Key Responsibilities
-Greet and assist all customers in a professional, enthusiastic manner.
-Process sales of golf equipment, apparel, accessories, snacks, beverages, and merchandise using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
-Handle cash, credit card, and digital transactions accurately while balancing the register at the end of shifts.
-Manage the phone system, accurately getting callers directed to the proper person.
-Provide course information, tee time assistance, and basic rules or etiquette guidance to guests.
-Maintain accurate inventory records, restock shelves, and assist with merchandise displays to maximize sales.
-Keep the pro shop clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
-Answer phones, book tee times, and manage pace of play on the course.
-Promote daily specials, promotions, and upcoming events.
-Address customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints promptly and professionally.
-Support other golf operations staff as needed during peak periods or tournaments.
-Manage Pool access (during season), ensuring members/guests are checked in.
Qualifications
-High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
-Previous experience in golf operations and/or customer service.
-Be highly organized and able to multi-task.
-Exhibit a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor at all times.
-Physical stamina to be on your feet for extended periods.
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate basic housekeeping appliances.
-Basic knowledge of golf.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Must be at least 18 years old.
-Be willing to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
