Compensation: $45,000 – $70,000 including commission and performance bonuses (top performers can earn more!)
About the Role
Hagadone Media Montana, a family-owned company and trusted community partner, is seeking a Recruitment & Real Estate Sales Specialist to drive growth in two of our highest-opportunity categories: recruitment and real estate advertising.
In this role, you’ll work directly with local businesses, real estate professionals, and organizations across Flathead County to develop effective advertising strategies that deliver results. Your mission: help clients achieve their goals while generating critical revenue that sustains community journalism.
This position is based in our Kalispell office and serves the Flathead Valley markets, including the Daily Inter Lake, Whitefish Pilot, Hungry Horse News, and Bigfork Eagle. Help local businesses and real estate professionals thrive while earning top sales income in the Flathead Valley
What You’ll Do
- Drive Growth: Prospect, pitch, and close new business in the recruitment and real estate categories, meeting and exceeding monthly revenue targets.
- Build Relationships: Spend 70–75% of your time in the field or in client meetings, building lasting partnerships with both new prospects and established accounts.
- Develop Strategies: Create integrated advertising plans across print, digital, video, podcasts, newsletters, and other emerging media channels.
- Be a Connector: Represent Hagadone Media Montana at community and business events, networking with chambers, associations, and local leaders.
- Support Clients: Guide businesses through a consultative sales process that solves problems and drives measurable results.
What We’re Looking For
- Sales Expertise: Proven track record in outside sales, business development, or client relationship management (experience in recruitment or real estate advertising a plus).
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to match client needs with media solutions that maximize results.
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated, independent, and organized; thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Community-Minded: Passion for strengthening local businesses and contributing to the growth of the Flathead Valley.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM systems and digital marketing tools.
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or equivalent experience preferred.
