Headquartered in Palm Desert, CA, Daily Grill Concepts is a national restaurant company with 5 restaurants in California and Texas. The Company boasts 2 different, yet complimentary brands, spanning the spectrum from Upscale Casual Daily Grill to the hip and trendy Public School Gastro Pubs.
We are looking for experienced, energetic, and hospitality focused team members to join our team! Our Lead Host will be an ambassador of the restaurant and provide guidance to the host team to ensure we are the friendliest restaurant around!
Job Responsibilities:
- Greeting guests in a friendly/energized manner immediately upon entering the restaurant
- Lead the host team in training and new initiatives
- Follow all company standards, policies, and procedures
- Ensure top notch guest service
- Act as a liaison between guests, servers, and management to create an exceptional dining experience.
- Serve as an ambassador of the restaurant, being the first person the guest interacts with
- Managing the flow of the restaurant by planning reservations, managing wait time and wait list, and assessing server skill levels to properly seat guests.
- Positively and kindly communicating possible wait times to guests and properly managing their expectations when/if there is a wait
- Ensure we are fully prepared for each shift
- Problem solving and following the “LAST” (listen, apologize, solve, thank) mind set to handle guest concerns
- Maintaining a clean front entrance area including cleaning the host stand, wiping the front doors, and performing restroom checks and stocking
- Memorize food and beverage offerings, and execute take-out orders when needed
Job Requirements:
- Must have an open availability including weekends and holidays
- Strong leadership and training abilities
- Minimum of 5 years of restaurant experience
- Previous lead, supervisor, or management experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and resolve conflicts
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and reservation systems
- Positive and Professional Attitude
- Strong multi-tasking ability, with the ability to work well under pressure
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must present a Food Handlers card within 30 days of hire
- Must be able to walk, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, and twist for 4-12 hours/day
- Must be able to push, pull, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
