Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status.
- Take and develop dental radiographs ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records, documenting treatments, medical histories, and clinical notes with precision.
- Ensure strict infection prevention management by adhering to aseptic techniques, sterilization protocols, and HIPAA compliance standards to protect patient confidentiality.
- Operate dental equipment safely and efficiently while staying updated on new tools and technology within general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings.
- Monitor patient vital signs before procedures to ensure safety during treatment sessions.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), and coding practices.
- Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention protocols.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to perform radiograph procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety standards.

Pay: $42.00 - $50.00 per hour
