A leading health system in the Pacific Northwest is seeking Advanced Heart Failure or Critical Care Cardiology locums coverage starting November 17, 2025, ongoing. This is a strictly Advanced Heart Failure role (no transplant) with a heavy critical care focus. Providers will work in tandem with three staff cardiologists in a highly specialized environment.
Job Responsibilities:

Inpatient rounding on assigned and unassigned patients (average census: 10–12)

Serve as primary attending for ECMO and LVAD patients

Participate in the hospital’s shock program

Manage advanced cardiac support devices: ECMO, VV/VA Impella, and durable LVADs

Provide daytime inpatient coverage (7am–7pm) and night call (7pm–7am) during scheduled week
Qualifications:
-
Fellowship-trained in Advanced Heart Failure or Critical Care Cardiology

Active Washington medical license or IMLC eligibility
-
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology

Proficient in managing mechanical circulatory support devices (ECMO, Impella, LVADs)
Working Hours:
-
Schedule: 1 week on / 3 weeks off (Monday 7am – Monday 7am)

Inpatient coverage: 7am–7pm daily

Night call: 7pm–7am during scheduled week

Overtime applies after 12 hours per day, not 40 hours per week
