What are the responsibilities and job description for the TRAINER TECHNICAL 1 position at Daikin Comfort?
This is a high knowledge Subject Matter Expert in Mechanical, Refrigeration and Electrical Maintenance, who will drive the training program as it is tailored to various degrees of difficulty based on student needs. The successful individual will Manage and Supervise as an approved Trainer for Electrical Training and the PM Maintenance Dojo and manage the day-to-day Mechanical/Electronics/Refrigeration Training program for the company. Trainees include those with responsibility for Maintenance PM, Operator PM, and Machine Set- up. Training history should include a background as an Electronics/Refrigeration Instructor, teaching in Electrical Engineering & Technology at a college level, or recommendation by a DIL Meister. The Technical Trainer should be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical/Refrigeration Training and teaching others, while also having solid practical experience in electrical design and problem solving.

- Manage, lead and supervise technical training classes.
- Develop new classes to maintain personnel technical knowledge as industry technical advancements are made.
- Provide daily support to Trainees.
- Update and maintain training records and materials.
- Perform audits of trained employees to ensure they are correctly, safely and efficiently performing work. Provide feedback to the manager and identify if further training or action needs to be taken.
- Manage Daily Activities in DOJO
- Ensure DOJO equipment is up to date and functional for training
- Ensure 5-S is occurring in DOJO
- Identify and implement continuous improvement processes
- Follow all safety requirements, work processes and policies
- Perform additional work/projects as needed.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong Presentation and Training Skills
- Situational trainer; can coordinate and adjust own actions in relation to the actions of others
- Industrial equipment: PLC/SMT/Process automation equipment- MPLC Allen Bradley controllers (RsLogiX500 and RsLogiX5000); Beckhoff, Twin-cat, Omron, and Keyence: HMI (AB Panel View, Siemens); Factory Talk View; RSView32; Motor Controls (Parker SSD Controllers); Vision System (Coq-nex); PC Architecture and microcomputers in general is helpful
- Practical experience should include the planning and implementation of electrical equipment installations, repairs, and PM schedules. Prior maintenance, control engineering, and electrical design experience in a world-class industrial manufacturer is helpful
- Dealing with Complexity & Problem-solving skills

Experience:
- 5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance
- 1 years of training experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical College/Trade School education preferred
