Daikin Applied is seeking a Manager - Engineering Tools to lead the internal engineering applications team responsible for developing and supporting enterprise tools that enable product development. This role provides technical and strategic leadership for the engineering tools portfolio, ensuring the team delivers scalable, user-friendly solutions aligned with the Corporate Engineering Strategy.
What you will do:
- Lead a team of software developers and application engineers supporting engineering tools and platforms.
- Manage development and maintenance of internal applications such as SharePoint-based tools, Design Flow and Lab Information Management System.
- Collaborate with Central/Corporate Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration across systems.
- Prioritize and manage the engineering tools roadmap, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Guide architectural decisions and promote modern development practices.
- Support tool onboarding, documentation, and training for engineering users.
- Track tool usage, performance, and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 6 years of related experience managing software/applications or enterprise tools AND 4 years of direct leadership experience
- Strong understanding of system integration, development methodologies, and cloud platforms
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional development and deployment projects
- Experience with Agile development and DevOps practices
- Exposure to AI deployment in Engineering tools
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Backend, Frontend Development Tech Stack.
- Experience with SharePoint, Power Platform, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of security and compliance best practices for internal applications

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $115,300 - $144,300 (plus 15% bonus) in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
