Daikin Applied is seeking an Engineering Technician II (2nd shift)! The Engineering Technician III will work in support of HVAC development programs, technician installs, tests, calibrates, and repairs electromechanical, and electronic measuring. This can also include supporting aspects of recording and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards. Location: In office, Plymouth
Shift: Monday - Thursday - 2 PM - 12:30 AM
What you will do:
- Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standard
- Perform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance
- Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments
- Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions
- Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times
- Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner
- Maintain effective communication with laboratory and project teams
- Obtain fork truck training/license, scissor lift training/license, or refrigerant handling certifications
- Perform test unit setup according to lab procedures and test request requirements
- Create records of testing activities and document them according to laboratory procedures
- Improve laboratory activities on a continuous basis
- Implement corrective and preventative actions
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair test units and facilities
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 Years of Engineering Tech experience
- Available to work Monday - Thursday 2 PM - 12:30 AM
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

- Fork Truck Training/Certification

The typical hourly rate for this position ranges from $25.73 - $41.21 in Minnesota. Note: The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
