Daikin Applied is seeking a Data Center Marketing & Communications Manager who serves as a communications lead and cross-functional business partner supporting the growth of Daikin Applied's Data Center business.

This role owns the development and activation of the Data Center narrative and messaging architecture; coordinates integrated communications and stakeholder engagement activities; elevates thought leadership and market visibility and partners with sales, rep organizations and other stakeholders on enablement resources.

What you will do:

Business Growth & Messaging Strategy

• Develop and maintain the Data Center business narrative, value proposition and messaging framework
• Translate business priorities, innovation investments, operational capabilities and customer outcomes into compelling market-facing stories
• Identify communications opportunities that increase awareness, understanding and preference for Daikin Applied's data center solutions
• Partner with business leaders to ensure customer communications, executive messaging and stakeholder engagement activities support strategic objectives
• Ensure consistent positioning and messaging across customer-facing channels, sales team and key stakeholders

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement

• Help initiate and coordinate customer, rep and stakeholder communications in support of key business initiatives
• Partner with Customer Experience, market-intelligence and other teams to incorporate relevant customer and market insights into messaging and communications programs
• Facilitate alignment among internal teams responsible for customer-facing communications and engagement activities
• Support communications planning for rep / customer-impacting events, strategic initiatives and emerging market issues
• Identify communications and content gaps that may impact customer understanding, stakeholder confidence or business effectiveness

Sales & Rep Enablement

• Partner with Sales, field and representative teams to shape and coordinate enablement resources that translate Data Center messaging and customer insights into effective market-engagement tools
• Contribute to the development and activation of presentations, customer-success stories, FAQs, playbooks, briefing materials, proof points and other customer-facing resources
• Help ensure Sales and representative teams have access to consistent, current and approved messaging and communications materials
• Support strategic customer pursuits and priority business initiatives through tailored messaging and communications support
• Collaborate with commercial leaders to identify field communication needs and develop scalable resources that improve sales readiness and customer engagement

Integrated Marketing and Communications

• Serve as a primary liaison between the Data Center business and Marketing, Corporate Communications, Customer Experience, Sales, Product Management, Events and other key stakeholders
• Act as primary communications liaison across sister companies, helping integrate value propositions and complementary technologies into relevant messaging and go-to-market activities. Coordinate integrated campaigns, customer-engagement initiatives, events and communications programs in partnership with the teams responsible for execution
• Maintain a centralized repository of approved messaging, communications templates and stakeholder resources
• Use performance data and stakeholder feedback to improve communications, thought-leadership and enablement activities and demonstrate their business impact

Industry Visibility and Thought Leadership

• Partner with senior leaders, subject-matter experts, Marketing and Corporate Communications to develop thought-leadership content highlighting customer success, innovation, technical expertise and strategic investments.
• Support the development of executive presentations, speaking content, articles, panel discussions and other external communications.
• Coordinate participation in relevant industry events, conferences, customer forums and trade associations.
• Identify speaking opportunities, award submissions and industry-recognition programs that strengthen visibility and credibility in the Data Center market.
• Support media, analyst and industry-stakeholder engagement in coordination with Corporate Communications and other appropriate teams
• Help position Daikin Applied and its leaders as trusted voices within the evolving Data Center ecosystem

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in liberal arts, journalism, communications or marketing
• 8 years of proven experience in B2B marketing, product marketing, go-to-market strategy, and product launches. Preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector
• Knowledge of HVAC, data center technologies or related B2B equipment markets
• Ability to translate technical concepts into customer-focused messaging
• Excellent strategic thinking and project management skills for complex launches and campaigns
• Skilled in content development for collateral, presentations, and digital assets
• Strong analytical skills to measure performance and optimize marketing programs
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities for internal and external audiences
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships across teams and external partners
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in the HVAC, data center industry or related technology sectors

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $113,800k - $193,900k and a bonus potential up to 25%. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
