Sr. Manager, Corporate Development

Daikin Applied is seeking a Sr. Manager of Corporate Development who will be responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and other corporate development activities. This role aims to enhance the company's competitive position and long-term growth by identifying, evaluating, and executing high-impact business opportunities. What You Will Do

• Drive end-to-end corporate development processes, including target identification, due diligence, evaluation, negotiation
• Define and refine M&A strategy to align with company’s growth objectives
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define and refine corporate strategy and growth plans
• Monitor industry trends and market dynamics to understand competitive landscape
• Conduct market and synergy analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and strategic opportunities
• Develop business cases, financial models, and strategic rationale for potential deals
• Own deal sourcing activities from internal and external sources
• Lead cross-functional teams through due diligence, ensuring comprehensive evaluation of targets
• Negotiate terms and structure of deals, working closely with legal, business and external advisors
• Develop a plan for the integration of acquired companies, ensuring alignment with Daikin Applied Americas' strategic goals and culture
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to the executive team
• Lead development of the extended corporate development team and continuous process improvement / playbook projects

Minimum Qualifications

• BA Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field
• 3-6 years of experience in corporate development, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, or a related field
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and understanding of key financial statements
• Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• 7 years with progressive experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or investment banking, with a specific focus on mergers and acquisitions
• MBA from a top-tier school
• Applied HVAC knowledge
• Extensive M&A transaction experience across all transaction types

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $113,800 - $188,300K up to 25% bonus in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
