The Engineering Technician will work in support of HVAC development programs, technician installs, tests, calibrates, and repairs electromechanical and electronic measuring. The typical hourly rate for this position ranges from $25.72-$42.45 in Virginia. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Your Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standard
- Perform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance
- Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments
- Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions
- Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times
- Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner
- Maintain effective communication with laboratory and project teams
- Obtain fork truck training/license, scissor lift training/license, or refrigerant handling certifications
- Perform test unit setup according to lab procedures and test request requirements
- Create records of testing activities and document them according to laboratory procedures
- Improve laboratory activities on a continuous basis
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of related experience
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Fork truck training/license, Man lift training/license, Universal card, R410a card
