The typical hourly rate for this position ranges from $28.61 - $47.04 USD per hour in VA. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law. Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing. All testing and employment decisions will comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Your Responsibilities
- Create engineering documentation, including Solidworks, modeling, fabrication, and purchase drawings that conform to Daikin standards
- Translate engineering/marketing intent into manufacturing documentation
- Work with Marketing/Sales to provide documentation for original designs or custom modifications of current products to meet weekly production schedules
- Exhibit a sense of design and mechanical aptitude with abstract thinking and reasoning skills
- Complete work assignments within determined time frame and use judgment in determining assignment goals
- Gain knowledge of design and manufacturing practices, processes, and Daikin Products
- Be part of and function in a team environment including cross functional and inter-departmental teams
- Demonstrate an understanding of legacy bill of material systems and product structuring logic
- Vocational or Technical Degree in Design/Drafting or Equivalent Experience or Associates Degree in Design/Drafting
- 2 years of experience of related design work
- Understanding of AMSE Y14.5 Desing and drafting standards Advance Understanding
- Sheet metal design and/or HVAC products
- Strong Communication skills - Written and verbal
- Experience with Excel - moderate to high level (preferred)
- Solidworks Mechanical Basic Understanding
- Draft Sight Basic Understanding
- Flexible to travel 10 to 15%
- Solidworks electrical (Optional Skill)
