Location: Staunton, VA in office 5 days per week Timeline: This Internship opportunity is for May–August 2026 What’s in it for you: You will have the opportunity to own a meaningful, real-life project within the Manufacturing Engineering Department that can directly create a positive impact on Daikin Applied’s HVAC Development An opportunity to build relationships with other students beyond your department The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best What you will do: Work with an assigned engineer to research and analyze data related to the production of Daikin’s products Design, improve, and test production processes or systems under the direction of the assigned engineer Work with assigned engineers to design and implement tools and processes intended to improve the quality and efficiency of the production operation Minimum Qualifications: Sophomore or Junior currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SolidWorks or related CAD software HVAC experience Lean Manufacturing experience Reside within a 300-mile radius of our Staunton, VA office The typical hourly pay rate for this position is $24/hr - $26/hr in Virginia. This represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
