Job Title: Tube Bending Machine Operator
Job Summary:
The Tube Bending Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining tube bending equipment to fabricate metal tubes and pipes according to specifications. This role ensures precision, quality, and efficiency in production while following safety and operational guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate tube bending machines (manual, semi-automatic, or CNC) based on job requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
- Measure and mark tubes for accurate bending and shaping
- Adjust machine settings to achieve correct angles, radii, and dimensions
- Inspect finished products using measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.) to ensure quality standards
- Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Document production data and report any issues to supervisors
Qualifications:
- Experience operating tube bending or similar metal fabrication machinery
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capability to lift and move materials (typically up to 50 lbs)
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing or industrial setting
- Exposure to machinery, noise, and metal materials
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
