Position Summary
The Machine Operator operates the CNC machine to cut and build rollers, sets up and operates a variety of machines.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Measuring and setting up machines to manufacture a high volume of parts
- Performing machine shop and mold press operations to support Assembly
- Detecting defective materials and questionable conditions and reports to the manager
- Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition
- Following safety regulations
- Performing preventative maintenance on machines
- Employees are responsible for complying with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
- Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience
- Ability to use a band saw, hand tools and calipers and perform milling, turning, drilling, taping, deburring, molding, and all bench operations
- Ability to read blueprints
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of standard and metric measurements
- Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Team orientation
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Medium work Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Reaching Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Standing Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Walking Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
- Pushing Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
- Pulling Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
