- Must be able to identify exact measurements on a tape measure
- Must have at least 1 year welding experience

Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Welders join metal parts using high heat application to form permanent bonds.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operating welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials
- Planning work by interpreting blueprints
- Determining welding position and type of metal to be fused
- Selecting and setting up welding equipment
- Ensuring welds meet standards and specifications
- Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures.
- Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Certificate or Associate degree in welding
- Minimum 1 year experience in welding
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read blueprints
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Team orientation
- Crane operation experience preferred, but not required
- Forklift operation experience preferred, but not required
- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
- Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
- Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
- Visual: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes
- Visual: The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
- Job Conditions: The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
