Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Sales Order Packer carefully identifies and labels items prior to packing materials received from other departments. The Sales Order Packer also works with other departments to ensure delivery of materials safely and on time.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Carefully identifying and Labeling items prior to packaging of materials received from other departments.
- Working with other departments to ensure delivery of materials safely and on time.
- Preparing accurate orders for outbound shipments
- Using a computer program (Wynsoft) to stage product to a container
- May be required to use material handling equipment (Forklift); following all safety rules
- Employees are responsible for complying with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
- Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience operating forklift equipment a plus
- Experience with inventory a plus
- Good computer skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and write English and use basic math
- Good organization skills
- Good time management skills
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Team Oriented
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Medium work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
- Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
