Job Description
Job Title: Warehouse Attendant
Department: Warehouse Operations
Location: Bellefontaine, OH
Reports to: Manager, Warehouse
Classification: Non- Exempt
Position Type: Full- Time
JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Attendant will perform tasks such as unloading and loading trucks. Other responsibilities include pulling required inventory and repackaging products by following customer requirements and instructions to prepare for shipments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unload and load trucks
- Pull required inventory
- Repackage product and prepare for shipment
- Inspect bearings as necessary
- Prepare shipping documents as needed
- Perform basic maintenance and assist in grounds keeping
- Keep records as required
- Maintain and follow safe working practices, and participate in safety improvement activities
- Other duties assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma/ or GED
- Ability to function in a multicultural environment
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and a team player
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs
- General warehouse and forklift experience preferred
- Basic understanding of computers with emphasis on Excel program functions is preferred
