Resident Care Director ( DON)

Job Summary
The Resident Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a residential care facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for residents. This position requires a compassionate leader who can effectively manage staff, coordinate care services, and foster a community atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have experience in social work or related fields, with a strong understanding of memory care and the unique needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Duties

• Supervise and support staff members to ensure high-quality care for all residents.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that cater to the specific needs of residents.
• Oversee medication administration and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Manage daily operations of the facility, including budgeting and resource allocation.
• Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and community stakeholders.
• Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and organizational policies regarding resident care.
• Facilitate training and professional development opportunities for staff.
• Promote an inclusive environment that supports the dignity and independence of all residents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Nursing, or related field preferred.
• Experience in memory care, nursing homes, or group home settings is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Strong financial acumen to manage budgets effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills and operations management experience.
• Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing exceptional care.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including residents, families, and staff.
• Certification in medication administration is an asset.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,161.00 - $79,954.00 per year
