What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide position at Dahlonega Assisted Living and Memory Care?
At our community, our number one priority is our Residents.
We are looking for a compassionate dietary aide to join our team. This role is responsible for assistance with preparation of meals, and overall assistance in the kitchen.
Minimum eligibility requirements
- Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
- Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.
- Must meet all health requirements.
- Must pass criminal background check.
- Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation.
Essential functions
- All Silverware, glasses and plates are to be clean, chip free, maintained, and free of spots
- Have a working knowledge of food ingredients and preparation methods for menu items.
- Wash and put away all dishes and utensils appropriately and safely
- Ensure dish area is kept clean and trash disposed at the end of every shift
- Adhere to schedule, if changes need to be made inform a manger at least two weeks in advance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation always.
- Complete any other tasks assigned to you by your manager.
Residents’ rights
- Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights.
Other
- Adheres to prescribed sanitation practices and procedures.
- Performs similar or related duties as required or directed.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
