Dahlia Cove Studio is seeking a reliable, hands-on Kitchen Support Staff member to help our Lead Kitchen Staff prepare, plate, and serve Afternoon Tea and lunch in our small, fast-paced tea kitchen.
This is a support-focused role. You will work closely with our Lead Kitchen Staff and other team members to keep service running smoothly. The position includes food preparation, plating, quality checks, dishwashing, cleaning, and general kitchen support. We are looking for someone who is dependable, works well as part of a team, takes direction well, and is willing to jump in wherever needed.

Schedule:
- Thursday-Sunday: Full & half service day shifts (8:00 AM–5:00 PM)
- Option for extra hours as needed on Tuesdays
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Lead Kitchen Staff to support daily kitchen operations and service
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
- Prep and assemble tea sandwiches, finish desserts, and assist with baking as needed
- Plate and quality-check Afternoon Tea tiers and lunch plates according to established standards
- Follow recipes, plating guides, protocols, and checklists with attention to detail
- Assist Lead Kitchen Staff during fast-paced, high-volume service
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with Lead Staff and all team members
- Take direction, feedback, and corrective instruction professionally and make adjustments as needed
- Must work well in a team environment and be willing to jump in wherever needed
- Wash dishes throughout service and maintain a clean, organized dish area
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures
- Assist with receiving deliveries, putting away supplies, and maintaining organized inventory
- Restock food and consumable supplies as needed
- Assist with food runs or pickups when needed
- Help maintain an organized, efficient kitchen throughout the service day
Qualifications:
- 1-5 years kitchen or culinary/resturant experience (preferred); not required
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and positive attitude
- Willingess to learn and be flexible
- Pastry/baking experience preferred; not required
- Food Handler’s Pemit
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Comfortable working in small kitchens and high-volume service alter these if needed based on new system
Pay: $17.13 - $20.00 per hour
