Job Description
As a Review Coordinator, you will coordinate and support intake functions related to utilization management and clinical review processes while ensuring compliance with departmental procedures, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities
- Receive, research, and process prior authorization requests within internal and vendor systems.
- Review and enter member administrative referrals accurately and efficiently.
- Process non-clinical service requests in accordance with established guidelines.
- Contact healthcare providers and internal departments to obtain additional clinical or administrative information needed for review completion.
- Research and resolve provider and member inquiries while maintaining positive professional relationships.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry and documentation to support downstream operational processes.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of healthcare industry experience in customer service, administrative support, care coordination, health plan operations, or a related field.
- Ability to accurately process and manage high volumes of information in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet established deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of prior authorization processes within a health plan or managed care environment.
- Advanced data entry and documentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience researching and resolving complex provider or member inquiries.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy while managing competing priorities.
- Must maintain a professional and distraction-free remote work environment.
- Internet speed test results are required as part of the application process.
- Minimum internet requirements:
- Download Speed: 25 Mbps or higher
- Upload Speed: 5 Mbps or higher
- Ping: Less than 100 ms
- Candidates should be prepared to provide documentation of internet speed test results during the hiring process.
