Job Description
The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring daily logistics activities to ensure accurate product movement and timely delivery. This position works closely with customer service, carriers, and internal partners to support production schedules and customer commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day shipping and receiving activities
- Monitor inbound and outbound product movement to ensure accurate tracking and on-time delivery
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, and logistics partners regarding scheduling, pickups, and deliveries
- Prepare, review, and maintain Bills of Lading (BOLs) and required shipping documentation
- Complete nightly shipment closures and verify documentation accuracy
- Partner with the Customer Service team to support order fulfillment and resolve delivery issues
- Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate logistics-related issues as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned during the assignment
Required Qualifications
- One or more years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain support
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to balance daily tasks, urgent issues, and follow-up activities effectively
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and think critically in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working directly with carriers or transportation partners
- Familiarity with shipping documentation and logistics terminology
- Prior experience supporting customer service or production-related logistics
