Compensation & Benefits
The Dagsboro Police Department offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package:
Salary
- Non-Certified Officers: $60,000 during training and upon successful completion of academy training
- Certified Officers: Salary based on qualifications and years of service (up to $71,614)

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- U.S. Citizen
- At least 21 years of age by completion of the police academy
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked, canceled, or disqualified)
- Strong work ethic, sound judgment, and good moral character
- Vision requirements:
- Uncorrected vision no worse than 20/200 in each eye
- Correctable to 20/20 in each eye
- Ability to distinguish red, green, and amber
