IT Support Engineer – Active Directory & Identity Management (2 Openings)
Location: On-site, Washington DC / Northern Virginia
Type: Full-time, direct hire Salary $115,000/yr
Contract: Supporting a federal legislative branch - IT services engagement
Overview
DAG Tech is hiring two full-time IT Support Engineers to support a government contract requiring on-site presence in the DC/VA area. Candidates must have strong experience with Active Directory (Enterprise-level support) and Okta identity management, and must be able to pass the required background/clearance check (CHBC).
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for enterprise Active Directory environments, including user/group management, GPOs, replication, and domain health
- Administer and troubleshoot Okta SSO, MFA, and provisioning/deprovisioning workflows
- Support identity lifecycle management across on-prem AD and cloud-based identity platforms
- Manage user access requests, account provisioning, and security group changes
- Troubleshoot authentication and federation issues between AD, Okta, and connected applications
- Maintain documentation for AD/Okta configurations, procedures, and change records
- Coordinate with government stakeholders and DAG Tech leadership on service delivery and compliance requirements
- Participate in on-call/on-site rotation as required by the contract SLA
Required Skills & Experience
- 3 years supporting enterprise Active Directory environments (Windows Server, AD DS, GPO management)
- Hands-on experience with Okta administration (SSO, MFA, provisioning, app integrations)
- Familiarity with hybrid identity setups (AD Connect / Entra ID a plus)
- Experience with ticketing systems and enterprise service desk workflows
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Ability to work on-site in DC/VA full-time
- Must be able to pass required CHBC background investigation
- U.S. citizenship or eligibility as required by the contract
Preferred
- Okta Certified Professional or Administrator certification
- Microsoft certifications (AZ-800, SC-300, or similar)
