Assistant Teacher - HS (Senath)

Position Purpose:  The Teacher Assistant will work cooperatively, assisting the center staff with the operations of the center/classroom, doing daily bus duty and other duties as deemed necessary.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Carry out assigned duties according the Head Start Performance Standards and Program Policies and Procedures.
2. Assist classroom teacher and be actively engaged and involved in the operations of the classroom.
3. Assist with any assessments and screenings as directed.
4. Assure that no child is left alone.
5. Ensure proper voice tone is used with children, families, staff and public.
6. Assist with data entry as directed.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and CDA is required as well as experience working with young children and low income families
