SUST/IND 338 Food and Agriculture Issues: The course integrates the science associated with food production with the social, political and economic issues influencing agriculture, food processing, distribution and access, safety and policy. Current and future use of sustainable practices in agriculture, labor and immigration issues and global food distribution will be discussed.

This course will provide an overview of the environmental impacts of conventional and sustainable agriculture, the social issues with labor in the food supply chain and access to healthy foods across different communities, and domestic and global economic issues related to food production, trade and food safety. Required Qualifications
- Candidate should possess a master's degree or higher in an appropriate field, have experience that relates to the course material and facility with the online environment. Previous teaching experience is preferred.
