Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Safety Manager to champion a culture of safety excellence across our manufacturing operations. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs that protect our team members, ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, and foster a safe working environment. Your expertise will drive initiatives that minimize risks, promote occupational health, and uphold the highest standards of safety performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and oversee comprehensive safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate and deliver engaging training & development programs on safety procedures, emergency response, first aid, CPR, OSHA compliance, and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) best practices.
- Maintain accurate report writing for safety incidents, inspections, audits, and compliance documentation to ensure transparency and regulatory adherence.
- Stay current with evolving workers' compensation law and industry regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and effective claims management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting proactive safety behaviors and engaging employees at all levels in safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of occupational health standards.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, OSHA safety protocols, and EPA regulations preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and report writing for safety incidents.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law and experience managing workers' compensation claims is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver impactful training & development sessions.
- Ability to perform detailed safety audits, inspections, and emergency response planning effectively.
