Daedalus is located in the Bay Area and partners with top-tier architects on projects ranging from high-end custom residences to 12-story mass timber towers, destination wineries and unique structures. Project locations range from northern to southern California and Napa Valley to Idaho, Utah, Wyoming and Hawaii. We are actively looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities
Project management
- Guide team members in project discussions, analysis, problem-solving
- Lead teams to achieve successful project delivery
- Communicate consistently with PIC and larger design team for coordination, client communications, resource allocations
- Work with team to ensure proper staffing to meet utilization goals
- Maintain project documentation and communication organization
- Schedule and lead quality control discussions
- Coordinate standards development with PIC
Business Development
- Prepare Client Proposals
- Contribute to efforts in client development
- Develop and join client presentations
- Network and participate in industry and/or client-driven events
- Client management; maintain/develop relationships
Training and People Development
- Coach teams and guide them through problem-solving and analysis techniques as well as development of project deliverables
- Oversee/guide the progress of learning modules
Finance
- Establish and monitor project budgets with PIC
- Monthly invoicing
Requirements
- 7 years relevant experience
- Technical and detailing knowledge in all building materials, including mass timber
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Leadership/business development experience with personal and professional growth mindset
- California P.E. licence required
- AutoCAD and/or Revit experience strongly recommended
