Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specialising in Emergency Room care to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients experiencing urgent medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with emergency medical conditions, including assessment, intervention, and ongoing monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised care plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs continuously and respond promptly to any changes in condition.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent ER RN experience.
• Minimum 1 year prior ER travel experience – non‑negotiable.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI.
• May float to Psych Hold area as needed.
• Valid registration as a Registered Nurse with the appropriate regulatory body.
• Proven experience working within an Emergency Room or similar high-pressure healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and emergency nursing protocols.
• Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating compassion, professionalism, and resilience under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
• Good communication skills, capable of providing clear instructions and reassurance to patients and their families.
