Role Description The Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Costa Mesa, CA. This role is responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts in Southern California, serving as the primary point of contact for retailers, distributors, and partners. Day-to-day tasks include building strong relationships with accounts, handling inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring accurate product information and timely deliveries. The Account Manager will monitor sales performance, identify growth opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, and operations to execute account strategies. The role also involves resolving issues, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Terpwoods products and industry trends, and representing the brand professionally in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated account management or sales experience, including relationship building, customer service, and retention.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information clearly and negotiate effectively.
- Organizational and time-management abilities, including handling multiple accounts, tracking activities, and meeting deadlines.
- Analytical skills to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make recommendations to improve account performance.
- Comfort working in the cannabis industry and willingness to maintain knowledge of relevant products, regulations, and market developments.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Hubspot), spreadsheets, and basic office software for managing account information and reporting.
- Ability to work on-site in Santa Ana, CA, and travel to customer locations or industry events as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in CPG is a plus.
