Our team works collaboratively with public agencies and project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with applicable standards.Position OverviewDabri, Inc. is seeking an ICC Certified Inspector to support future public sector construction projects throughout California. This role is responsible for ensuring construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, applicable building codes, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of construction practices, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and agency representatives.This is an on-site position supporting active construction projects.Key ResponsibilitiesReview construction drawings, specifications, and approved documents for compliance with the International Building Code (IBC), local ordinances, and project requirements.Identify code issues prior to construction and coordinate with project teams to resolve discrepancies.Perform on-site inspections at various construction stages including foundations, framing, structural components, and final completion.Verify materials, workmanship, installation methods, and sequencing meet approved plans and applicable codes.Inspect structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and specialty systems based on certification.Prepare detailed inspection reports, field notes, and deficiency notices.Maintain accurate inspection records, logs, and photographic documentation.Track corrective actions and verify resolution of non-conforming work.Serve as a liaison between contractors, architects, engineers, and owners.Clearly communicate inspection findings, code requirements, and corrective measures.Participate in project meetings as needed to support compliance and quality objectives.Key Areas of InspectionStructural: Foundations, concrete, steel, framing, seismic and wind-resistant systemsBuilding Systems: Plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire/life safetySpecialty Inspections: Concrete, masonry, welding, steel, fire protection (based on ICC certifications held)Skills & AbilitiesStrong working knowledge of building codes and construction methodsHigh attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple inspections and prioritiesProficiency in preparing technical reports and documentationMinimum QualificationsActive ICC Certification(s) relevant to inspection discipline(s)5 years of experience performing construction inspections on public or private projectsExperience with vertical construction, public facilities, or infrastructure projects preferredFamiliarity with public agency construction standards and proceduresValid California Driver’s LicenseU.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (no visa sponsorship available)Additional InformationThis is an on-site position; remote work is not availableProject based position Travel to multiple project sites may be required depending on project and client needsDabri, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to workplace diversityNo relocation or visa sponsorship assistance is availableHow to ApplyPlease submit the following:Résumé (Word)List of ICC certificationsRelevant project experience and project details Desired hourly rate or salary range3 professional references with updated contact information (email and phone number), including details of relation. Send applications to hr@dabri.com with ICC Certified Inspector in the subject line.Powered by JazzHR2S8fI5j3UK
