At DAA Seattle, part of the McConkey Auction Group (MAG), we’re looking for a Facilities & Maintenance Technician who brings more than just basic maintenance skills, someone who can take ownership of a dynamic, multi-site commercial campus and help us deliver an exceptional experience for both employees and customers.
Why this role matters
Our Auburn campus is more than just a single building—it’s a fast-paced, high-volume operation made up of a primary auction facility and multiple satellite lots. This role is critical to ensuring our environment is safe, functional, and customer-ready every single sale day.
What you’ll do
- Oversee the maintenance of all aspects of our commercial facility, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, structural, and grounds systems
- Execute and manage preventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment and infrastructure are operating efficiently
- Coordinate and oversee third-party vendors and contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to standard
- Solicit, review, and compare vendor bids and proposals, providing recommendations based on scope, cost, and quality
- Support facility-related projects, repairs, and improvements across the main campus and satellite locations
- Proactively identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and opportunities to improve facility operations
- Assist with snow and ice removal to maintain safe access across all properties
- Support operations on sale days and customer events to ensure the facility is presented at a high level
- Maintain organized records of maintenance, vendor work, and facility needs
What we’re looking for
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial, industrial, or multi-site facilities maintenance
- Experience managing and coordinating vendors and contractors
- Ability to review and compare quotes, bids, and service proposals
- Strong working knowledge of building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical)
- Proven ability to manage priorities across a large or multi-location property
- Hands-on, proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between local sites
What sets you apart
- Experience in a high-traffic, customer-facing environment (auction, logistics, automotive, or similar)
- Background in multi-site or campus-style facilities operations
- Experience supporting facility upgrades or small projects
- Strong cost awareness and ability to identify efficient vendor solutions
- Alignment with a Servant Leadership mindset and a team-first approach
