Key Responsibilities:
- Maximizing product value through effective backlog management, stakeholder engagement, and clear prioritization.
- Define and maintain product vision, roadmap, and release plans.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog; write and refine user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and development teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and approve completed work.
- Make informed decisions on scope and priorities to drive business value.
- Ensures user stories are “ready” for development to start work.
- Ensures each story has the correct acceptance criteria.
- Gathers, manages, and prioritizes the product backlog.
- Mitigates roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals
- Ensures close collaboration with the development team.
- Has technical product knowledge or specific domain expertise
- Tracks progress towards the release of a product.
- Works with a cross-functional team in planning a product release.
- Advocates on behalf of the customer for the development team.
- Prioritizes defect and/or bug resolution.
- Collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
- Managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements.
- Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints.
- In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile software development methodology
- Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles

- Strong Agile/Scrum expertise and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience developing mobile app and / or web products.
- Minimum of 1-3 years in a Product Owner (or similar) role.
- Working knowledge of product development architecture.
- Proficiency in the use of analytic tools.
- Ability to prioritize effectively.
- Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals.
- Ability to effectively manage changing and conflicting needs of stakeholders.
- Healthcare and/or laboratory environment experience
- Experience in contract or consulting roles as a Product Owner CSPO or similar certification.
- Digital laboratory products, order‑to‑results workflows, data & analytics, vendor management, or billing systems experience
Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (business, Computer Science, engineering, technology, health care) AND 3 years of relevant technical experience OR 7 years of relevant technical experience.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Certification in Scrum Product Owner within 1 year
