Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing modalities such as psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during emergencies.
- Facilitate intake processes, develop personalized treatment plans, and maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide specialized counseling for issues such as PTSD care, grief, addiction, gender identity concerns, chronic pain management, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, geriatrics, and pediatrics.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, special education staff, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions while ensuring data collection and accurate medical records management.
- Engage in clinical research activities to stay current with emerging best practices and contribute to the advancement of behavioral health knowledge.
Skills
- Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and art or dance therapies.
- Strong proficiency in motivational interviewing and behavior management strategies to foster client engagement and positive change.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and geriatrics.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Skilled in crisis management and crisis intervention protocols to effectively handle emergency situations.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records documentation, CPT coding for billing purposes, and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with case management capabilities for comprehensive service delivery.
- Knowledge of social work principles alongside clinical counseling techniques across outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Experience in delivering addiction counseling, grief counseling, chronic pain counseling, gender issues counseling, and working within special education environments is highly desirable.
