Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Write detailed service estimates using estimating software, accurately documenting vehicle issues and recommended repairs
- Communicate effectively with technicians regarding diagnostics, repairs, and estimated timeframes
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmissions, and collision repair to enhance customer value
- Manage client communication throughout the repair process, providing updates and explaining repair procedures clearly
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and quality control standards are met
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive service writing or auto service management within a dealership or repair shop environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures
- Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Experience in auto estimating, sales techniques, and upselling services effectively
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicles safely
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records
