The Opportunity
A leading global financial services and capital markets firm is expanding its Equity-Linked Capital Markets platform and is seeking a high-performing Analyst 3 / Associate 1 to join its growing New York team.
This is a front-office, execution-driven role offering strong exposure to complex, structured equity-linked products, senior bankers, institutional investors, and corporate clients. The successful candidate will sit at the intersection of ECM, structured products, and derivatives, with an opportunity to develop into a key revenue-generating team member.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the origination, structuring, and execution of equity-linked transactions, including:
- Convertibles
- Mandatory convertibles
- Equity-linked notes
- Structured retail and institutional products
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses relating to equity-linked instruments
- Prepare and update:
- Pitch books
- Investor presentations
- Offering documentation
- Deal comparables and market updates
- Assist with live transaction execution across both buy-side and sell-side workstreams
- Monitor market conditions, track equity and volatility metrics, and provide actionable insights to senior team members
- Liaise closely with Sales, Trading, Syndicate, and Legal/Compliance teams
- Conduct in-depth analysis of issuers and sectors to support transaction positioning
- Manage DDQ support, term sheets, and transaction materials
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and support client interactions where appropriate
Candidate Profile
- 2–4 years of experience in:
- Investment banking (ECM / DCM / LevFin / Structured Products)
- Equity Derivatives / Convertibles desk
- Capital markets or structured finance
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Equity-linked products
- Capital markets structures
- Convertible bond dynamics
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills (VBA and Python a plus)
- Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar discipline preferred
