Heavy Equipment Mechanic, JLTV

Job Summary
We are seeking highly skilled and energetic Heavy Equipment Mechanic specialized in aka JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicle) Wheeled Mechanic 91B to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy military and industrial equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet operational, reliable, and ready for demanding missions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery, utilize your mechanical skills, and contribute to critical operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of wheeled vehicles, including engines, transmissions, power train components, hydraulic systems, and fuel system components.
• Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
• Inspect, adjust, and test parts and systems to ensure functionality.
• Supervise and professionally develop subordinates.
• Handle maintenance-related administrative tasks, including record-keeping and reporting.
• Plan work area layout for efficiency and safety.
• Conduct on-the-job training.

Minimum Qualification:

• 10 years maintenance experience in Mechanical Maintenance or a combination of Mechanical Maintenance and General Technical.
• Ability to climb up the back of JLTV.
• Ability to bring and use own tools.
• Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
• Ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation result and obtain and maintain a CAC.
• High School Diploma / GED.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualification:

• U.S. Army 91 series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent.
• Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement.

Pay and Benefits: (Employer paid Medical/EE only)

• Pay Rate $33.04 hr.
• Fringe: $5.09 hr.
• Retention Bonus of $1,000 upon completion of 750 hours.
• Completion Bonus of up to $5,000 (a pro-rated bonus based on the total hours worked)

Schedule:

• 5 days 10-hour shift
• Monday to Friday 6:30am-17:00pm
• Job Type- Full-time

Physical Demands:

• Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
