What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service & Shop Technician (Bilingual Required) - StruXure Utah position at D5 Capital?
Service & Shop Technician – Bilingual Required
StruXure (under D5 Capital Holdings) is a leading provider of premium outdoor living solutions, specializing in fully customizable motorized pergolas and smart outdoor environments. We help customers transform their outdoor spaces into functional, year-round extensions of their home or business. We operate at the intersection of design, precision fabrication, and skilled installation, and as we continue to grow, we're looking for motivated, energetic individuals to join our team.
About the Role
This role supports StruXure Utah's growing service and warranty operations, working alongside our existing Service Technician to keep customers taken care of long after installation. With existing projects requiring warranty work, and a new Service Program launching to drive additional recurring revenue – without pulling management or Project Managers away from their own priorities. While the Service Program is in development, this person will also flex into the shop, helping prep outgoing installations, restock returned supplies, and unload deliveries.
What You'll Do
- Partner with our existing Service Technician to complete warranty claims and service package program work across active and completed Utah projects
- Provide field assistance on installation projects when a job requires an extra hand or is too small to warrant a full standard install crew
- Service and troubleshoot screen projects and other multi-person service situations that are difficult for a single technician to handle alone
- Communicate clearly and professionally with Spanish-speaking and English-speaking customers, crew members, and internal team members in both field and shop settings
- Support the ramp-up of StruXure Utah's internal Service Program, helping build a reliable, repeatable service operation
- Assist with warehouse and shop duties during ramp-up, including job prep for outgoing installations
- Restock and organize supplies returned from completed installations
- Assist with unloading incoming deliveries and maintaining an organized, ready-to-work shop and warehouse space
- Maintain accurate documentation of warranty and service work performed
- Follow all safety protocols in the field, warehouse, and shop environments
What You Bring
Required
- Bilingual in Spanish and English, with strong verbal communication skills in both languages
- Experience in construction, outdoor living, home improvement, or a related field-service or installation role
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a two-person or small crew
- Willingness and ability to move between service/warranty fieldwork and warehouse/shop support as business needs shift
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing and resolving warranty issues
- Reliable, punctual, and able to represent StruXure professionally in customers' homes and businesses
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle materials and equipment as required for installation and warehouse work
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
Preferred
- Prior experience with pergola, screen, or outdoor structure installation and service
- Experience with warranty claim processes in a construction or home improvement business
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including inventory and job-prep processes
- Experience supporting or working alongside Project Managers and installation crews
Why This Role Stands Out
- Ground-floor opportunity to help build StruXure Utah's Service Program from the beginning
- Variety built into the role – warranty and service fieldwork combined with shop and warehouse support
- Direct impact on customer satisfaction and a new revenue stream for the branch
- Work alongside an experienced Service Technician and gain hands-on exposure across the full service and installation process
- Be part of a growing, premium brand with room to develop into larger service or operations roles as the program scales
Compensation
- $28.00 – $33.00 per hour
- Full-time
- Target start: July
- Non-Exempt classification
Salary : $28 - $33
