Duties
- Design customized personal training programs tailored to individual client needs, goals, and fitness levels, incorporating principles of physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics
- Lead diverse group fitness classes such as cardio, strength training, Pilates, yoga, cycling, CrossFit, dancing, and kickboxing to energize participants and promote community engagement
- Demonstrate proper exercise techniques ensuring safety and effectiveness while providing clear instructions and motivation
- Assess clients’ progress regularly and adjust training plans accordingly to maximize results
- Promote gym memberships, personal training packages, and group class sign-ups through friendly sales conversations that emphasize the benefits of a healthy lifestyle
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to health club standards and safety protocols
- Stay current with industry trends by continuing education in areas such as sports coaching, program design, and new fitness modalities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in personal training or group fitness instruction with certifications in relevant disciplines such as NASM, ACE, ACSM or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, body mechanics, and exercise science to develop safe and effective programs
- Proficiency in leading group classes across multiple formats including Pilates, yoga, cycling, CrossFit, dance-based workouts or sports coaching
- Excellent teaching skills with the ability to motivate diverse populations of all ages and fitness levels
- Familiarity with gym equipment operation and maintenance standards
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally while fostering a motivating atmosphere
- Certifications or experience in specialized areas such as kickboxing or health club management is a plus
