Position Overview
D2 Government Solutions is seeking a Practical Exercise Scenario / Role Play Director to support Air Advisor Academic Support Services at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. This role is responsible for designing, coordinating, and managing realistic Air Advisor practical exercises and role-play events that evaluate student performance in cross-cultural and advisor mission settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, coordinate, execute, and manage Air Advisor-centric practical exercises.
- Create and manage fictional partner-nation environments, backstories, and character studies for multiple roles.
- Prepare and manage exercise areas that simulate partner-nation office, work, and social settings.
- Direct role players so they perform behaviors and actions needed to achieve desired student learning outcomes.
- Coordinate with the Site Manager and Course Director on the number and target languages needed for practical scenario exercises.
- Coordinate with academic and fieldcraft instructors to integrate learning objectives into scenario events.
- Coordinate with Air Advisor leadership on training areas and range scheduling.
- Support approved purchases of authentic ethnic meals and minor culturally appropriate supplies for training events as required.
Required Qualifications
- Deployment experience as a Military Advisor, PAS Officer, RAS Officer, FAO, PRT member, attache, SCO, or equivalent military advisory role.
- Practical knowledge of air advising activities sufficient to build realistic scenario-based exercises.
- Experience developing, planning, and executing military practical exercises in support of academic and fieldcraft lessons.
- Experience as an observer/controller/evaluator for complex military exercises.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing role players, scenario cells, exercise control functions, or cultural immersion activities.
- Experience building training scenarios tied to advisory, irregular warfare, foreign internal defense, or security cooperation objectives.
- Ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder events in dynamic training environments.
Work Location and Conditions
Primary performance is expected at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. Work may occur in classroom and field training settings and may require schedule flexibility based on exercise timelines.
