Contract Manager – Business Operations Support

Position Overview

D2 Government Solutions is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead our Business Operations Support team at Fort Benning, Georgia. This role serves as the primary point of contact between the contractor workforce and Government representatives, ensuring all contract requirements are performed efficiently, professionally, and in compliance with established performance standards.

The Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing contractor personnel, coordinating project activities, and ensuring uninterrupted support across multiple business operations functions. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage complex workloads in a fast-paced federal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and supervision of contractor personnel supporting business operations activities.
• Serve as the primary interface with the Government Contracting Officer (CO), Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and other authorized Government representatives.
• Assign, prioritize, and monitor work related to work management, financial analysis, real property systems, and information technology accountability.
• Maintain an integrated operational calendar that tracks daily activities, recurring reports, contract deliverables, and annual milestones.
• Monitor work queues, staffing levels, quality assurance activities, and performance metrics to ensure contract requirements are met.
• Identify operational challenges and schedule risks and implement corrective actions to maintain performance standards.
• Manage personnel scheduling, training, cross-training, and workforce coverage to ensure continuity of operations.
• Coordinate and document meetings, action items, decisions, and follow-up activities with Government stakeholders.
• Designate and prepare an alternate manager capable of assuming responsibilities during absences to ensure uninterrupted contract support.
• Support technical and operational tasks, when necessary, while maintaining management oversight responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing personnel and operations in a federal installation support environment or similar public works/business operations setting.
• Proven ability to lead and supervise teams supporting financial management, work order management, facility records, real property systems, or Army enterprise systems.
• Experience with operational planning, schedule management, quality assurance, customer service, and documented corrective action processes.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work onsite during normal operating hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays and Government closures.
• Ability to successfully complete required security processing and obtain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC), network access, and associated system permissions.
• Prior experience with Army systems, DoD environments, or federal contract management is highly desirable.
