Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Roll-Off Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to operate a roll-off hook lift dumpster truck. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting waste containers and materials to designated locations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role requires strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to load/unload roll-off dumpsters efficiently. Will start as a part-time position with the goal to transition to full-time.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commerical roll-off hook lift dumpster truck.
- Load and unload materials or waste containers using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Transport materials to and from designated sites while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Perform routine inspections of truck before and after trips; report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist with maintenance tasks related to truck operation when necessary.
- Ensure all loads are secured properly to prevent accidents or spillage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Follow all safety procedures related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and operating large trucks.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for roll-off trucks and other commercial vehicles.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with roll-off trucks, dump trucks, or tractor-trailers.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and related equipment.
- Experience with load & unload operations using hook lift.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Strong driving record with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Delivery driver experience is a plus.
