What are the responsibilities and job description for the ServiceNow Adminstrator position at D2 Consulting?

What You’ll Do
- Administer and maintain the ServiceNow ITOM discovery, including user management, configurations, and updates.
- Support ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB processes by troubleshooting discovery issues, permissions, and integrations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve system administration and platform connectivity issues (Windows/Linux).
- Monitor and validate data quality within ServiceNow by applying knowledge of databases, data structures, and references.
- Analyze and interpret data in XML, JSON, and PowerShell for ServiceNow integrations and data processing.
- Document processes, workflows, and requirements to ensure accuracy and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and security standards.
- Active TS/SCI w/CI Poly required for consideration
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or equivalent hands-on ServiceNow administration experience.
- Solid understanding of ServiceNow navigation, data structures, and CMDB architecture.
- System administration experience with Linux and Windows, including troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including ports, protocols, and services (DNS, PowerShell, SSH, etc.).
- Strong grasp of database fundamentals, including data storage, access, and table relationships.
- Ability to read and work with XML, JSON, and PowerShell scripts.
- Security certification required as well as Industry approved certification.
- ITOM/Discovery-specific ServiceNow training or certifications.
- Experience with other discovery tools (e.g., Device42, BMC Helix Discovery, Nlyte).
- Familiarity with a wide range of IT devices/services, such as storage (NetApp, Cohesity), networking (Cisco, Juniper), printers, phones, and other IP-enabled systems.
