About D1 Training Staten Island

D1 Training Staten Island provides custom sports training programs integrating sports therapy and cutting-edge coaching in a motivating, high-energy environment. D1 athletes range across the entire age spectrum, including scholastic athletes (ages 7–18), collegiate athletes, professional athletes, and adults who enjoy training in a team environment. Every person who walks through the doors of our state-of-the-art facility is trained and treated like an elite athlete.

Position Overview

We are looking for talented and engaged individuals on an independent contractor basis to perform recruiting services for our growing company. As a D1 Recruiter, you are the initial point of contact between the community and D1 — the lifeblood of facility growth and new sales. If you have the work ethic, experience, and skill set to succeed, we want to hear from you.

  • Excitement/Conviction — Top recruiters project infectious enthusiasm.
  • Good Listener — People do not care about what you have to say. A good listener lets the prospect tell them how they want to be sold and what their needs are.
  • Goal Setting — Goal setting is crucial to great success.
  • Continual Education — Students of the game always come out on top. Familiarizing yourself with the D1 product line will go a long way.
  • Servant-Minded Approach — D1 helps people get to the next level. Coming across as insincere and insecure stands out to the consumer.
  • Take Action Now — When something needs to be done, it is not put off. Taking action immediately ensures quality and eliminates forgetfulness.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sell D1 Memberships (individual, team, and corporate)
  • Drive Free Trials and Lead Generation
  • Canvassing and Cross Promotions
  • Local Business Partnership Acquisition (Corporate Wellness, Schools, Teams, Leagues, Community Organizations)
  • Create and Attend Local Events as D1 Ambassador


Compensation and Benefits

  • Commission-based position with an aggressive pay structure
  • 20% recurring commission on all products (individual, corporate, team, facility rentals) — excludes Personal Training
  • Top performers can realistically earn $40,000 to $75,000 per year

Qualifications

  • Self-motivated
  • Sales mentality: aggressive, persistent, low pressure
  • Grassroots marketing and sales experience
  • Experience selling consumer service or product
  • Familiarity with training athletes, their environment and needs
  • General experience in a gym or training facility
  • Athletic background preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus

Salary : $40,000 - $75,000
