- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Utilize construction estimating software (such as Bluebeam) to create comprehensive estimates
- Research and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals
- Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids
- Review project budgets and provide cost control recommendations
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments to estimates as needed
- Prepare and present estimates to clients, highlighting key project details and pricing breakdowns
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, practices, techniques, and software
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with project management concepts and tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
