Duties
- Assist with planting, pruning, watering, fertilizing, and mulching to promote healthy growth of plants and shrubs
- Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, aerating, and overseeding to ensure lush, vibrant turf
- Support irrigation system installation and troubleshooting to keep landscapes properly hydrated
- Help with greenhouse tasks such as seed starting, transplanting, and climate control to nurture young plants
- Use hand tools and power tools safely for landscape projects including digging, trimming, and soil preparation
- Conduct routine landscape maintenance tasks like weed control, leaf removal, and debris clearing
- Assist with farming activities such as crop planting, harvesting, and soil management when needed
- Follow safety protocols during all gardening activities to ensure a secure work environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience or strong interest in gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and greenhouse operations is a plus
- Familiarity with lawn care equipment and hand/power tools is desirable
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for active tasks
- Basic understanding of growing techniques, farming practices or agriculture principles is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward plant health and landscape aesthetics
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning new skills in landscaping and horticulture
