D-Patrick Audi, Volkswagen, BMW, Porsche, and Mercedes are looking for an experienced European Auto Body Technician to add to our team of Technicians!
SUMMARY
Repairs damaged bodies and body parts of automotive vehicles such as automobiles, light trucks, and SUV's by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Examines damaged vehicles compares to estimate cost of repairs and writes up any supplements.
- Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window and seat operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle body and fenders.
- Positions dolly block against surface of dented area and beats opposite surface to remove dents.
- Fills depressions with body filler.
- Removes damaged fenders, panels, grills, and bolts or welds with wire feed or arc welder replacement parts in position.
- Straightens bent automobile frames with pneumatic frame straightening machine.
- Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces.
- Aims headlights, and bleeds hydraulic brake system.
- Primes surfaces after performing body repairs.
- Replaces defective mechanical parts.
- Required to stay up to date on all I-CAR, ASE, and manufacturer training.
- Abides by all federal, state and local regulations regarding spray gun equipment and personal protection equipment such as respirator compliance.
- Requires being at work on time and have satisfactory attendance.
- Any other duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Individuals must have basic computer, math. and mechanical skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Positive attitude and be able to listen and follow directions.
- Individual should perform duties with little or no supervision.
- Be able to work weekends and overtime.
- Individual should be honest, ethical, dependable and a team player.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma and 2 years related training or 4 years of training and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
